The solenoid for the duplex gate/guide(guide that diverts paper either to the duplex unit or to the delivery tray) sticks and causes the jam. I don't know what modification needs to be done to correct this. Hopefully someone else has a fix for this fault. The solenoid is located towards the rear of the copier above the fuser unit.

    Good luck.

so you reckon the solenoid that works duplex gate. Not the gate itself? i know the pads i forgot to mention get sticky with age ive removed those and the residue. But thank ill defenintly look at the solenoid i knew it had something to do with the interchange unit.

Pressure roller's always a favourite for this type of jam too.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

        Hit it.

Remove the foam pad that cushions the junction gate.
Don't take that toner with me!

Do this and clean any sticky residue with Alcohol, or as you see fit. I've had this happen once but hear it's a common issue (?). The Solenoid can cause it too, I've had this on this range's older brother, the Russian range on various parts like the Duplex and ADF Junction Solenoids.
