This Ricoh Aficio 2035 I've been working on has had a lot of SC-350 error codes. When I clean the copier and perform SP-3001 though, the copier starts working. Am I looking at an ID sensor that is going bad? Or could toner dust from either the PCU or Developing Unit covers be causing this issue? Thank you for any help given.

Exactly. Also, when was the last time a PM was performed. 350 codes can be caused by worn out drum and developer. When my group sees those, we just do a std maint of new drum and dv, etc.Comment

Um, could you define what the ruleman is?
It's probably a regional thing, like the osteopathic rhombus is here in my personal part of the periphery. Still, if you could let us know that would help all of us communicate more effectively.Comment

1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Agree with the previous advice.....Assuming the drum surface looks ok and not coated with toner and copies look decent.......replace the drum and developer (or at least the developer) and you'll probably be done with the issue. Very common issue on the B079 series.
Proper way to diagnose this issue would be to check vsg/vsp/ and all the other various values in service mode
check drum ground continuity from bearing to drum shaft
verify it's not an issue with toner supply or toner hopper starving the dv unit for toner
That being said....just replace the developer.....bet that's the issuesigpicAnything can be made to work if you fiddle with it long enough- San Diego Copier Repair.comComment
