had an engineer ring on friday he wanted to upgrade the firmware on a new mpc3003 with the new opps pannel he downloaded the firmware to find the engine firm had changed number so grt a warning when he put firmware into copier.As we havent upgraded any of the new Android copiers we were not sure if this was correct the last four numbers changed to 5504 for the Engin with no letter i suspect that they have gone past z if you install this firmware is there a sp you need to run much like on the pro8100 when they changed the firmware numbers also is it only the opps pannel that is diffrent for firmware on these new android machines

Ricoh has multiple warnings to use the correct firmware depending on the type of Op panel. The best way to recover is to download and install the correct package firmware as it will contain all the modules specific to the type of panel plus all the common modules. It does not include peripherals like finishers and doc feeders. -

You will get warnings on the Metis serie cause the HUGE amount of firmware updates published to this model, there is no "free" numbers and the machine think "this is wrong..."Please start you post with brand, model, problem.Comment

I have been seeing this too, first I double check I have the correct firmware on the SD then ignore the message & install the firmware anyway.

Ricoh should make it fool proof, it's too easy to mess up, but until then, I guess it's technician beware.Comment
