Intermittent solid black line on page. AF350

Any idea why a AF350 will leave a solid black line from operator side, to nonoperator side of machine. No erase, line goes all the way to the edge of the page. Intermittent, and not in the same place on each page. Have replaced LDDR, BICU, and IO boards. Help

Check the bushings in the charge roller arms and replace as necessary. Also verify the charge plate that runs along the back of the unit touches the arms/bushings when the drum is installed. Sometimes they get bent back and don't make good connection.

Possibly a cracked drum drive gear - was common on this series

Just worked on a machine today with the same problem....make certain the charge roller tabs are making good contact. Also, there is a tab on the rear frame side of the drum unit that may be pushed in, make certain that is making sufficient contact.

It sounds like poor drum cleaning to me, but your changing the blade at the PM should have took care of it. I would still look to see if the blade flipped. Very messy. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
              1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
              2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
              3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
              4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
              5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

One of my old accounts had the Lanier version of this machine, a Lanier 5235. I was getting what you described, very intermittent, but in my case every now and then there would be more than one line. Someone had suggested to me to replace the drum ground bearing. I did, and the problem did not return. My best guess was that the balls in the bearing would hit an 'open' spot occasionally and for that nanosecond loose ground. Might be worth a try. Pack the bearing with conductive grease if you want to try it without replacing the bearing.
