Hello Experts,

my two Problems are solved!

1. The Scan2Folder Problem was Solved with Network Firmware 1.07 and works perfektly under Windows 10
2. The 2nd Problem with some Firmware Upgrade like Scanner, Printer and the E44 "Download Error" was a Problem
with the write Protected SD-Card in Slot 1. I changed the "write protection Switch" on the Card to the other
Position and checked the Firmware Upgrade again, it works!

Thanks to ALL they helped me in the Past! Maybe some other User have the same Problem in the future. Some
Files are stored in the Flashrom and i don't imagine, some files are stored into the SD-Card in Slot 1.

On the other side, I'm a little bit sad about a unknown user, that take away my "Rep Power" Today. I see a
Notification that another user was upset about my stupid questions. By this way, english is not my mother
language, it's really bad. I want to invite these anonymous user to write in german language. But in all internet
forums at least one stupid User.

we have just up dated to winders server 2012 r2 and windows 10

but our Richo MP171 needs a firmware update

dose any one has it or can tell me where to get it


I notice under the web unit for the printer there is an area for firmware update
I just require the firmware

Hi Experts,

i know this thread is from 2016, but i have a Problem with an old printer.
it the MP 171 i got to use. But i dont have any chance to use scan2folder because of SMB Version.

So my question is, is there any one who can give me the latest firmeware update?
My dealer tells me it makes no sense and want to sell a new printer, but as long as its running, i would like to test the latest update first.

Could it be possible to get some help? Itried my luck, but in that case google is not very helpfull

Just download and execute the Ricoh Firmware Update Tool. You do not need to get a single Firmware if you use this tool.

Thank you for the answer.
I forgot, i also tried to update with ricoh update tool v.1.9.0 in in the network environment.
But this will not work. it says it needs the latest firmware, begins to download (about 2seconds) and then it says completed.
But the software version is still the old one.
I also tried just to download the software update, in the local folder, i just get 2 xml files. no update
