[CQ] mpc6003 pcu problems

Hey all,

I have an MPC6003 that just spews black toner everywhere in the machine. Wondering if anyone else has had this problem?

I am getting way below PM target for the black PCU...129k or so

Here are some images of the black PCU...

I am assuming these issues are related....

Are you running the machine on Genuine Ricoh toner?

And genuine Ricoh drum units. Are the drum units new or rebuilt?

There are no rebuilds available for the metis, unless China have started machine them?

Yep, I work for a Savin dealer so all parts are OEM

Are they feeding just plain paper or using other materials
what is the location like is it a clean office or dusty environment

hiyou must see if the pressure of lubricant bar is in exact place (for mpc3003 the pressure is diferent and the pcu is the same)

The machine sits in a clean school office. The only stuff they run are various colors of 20lb paper and some cardstock occasionally.

Yea, the installation procedure talks about the spring that you have to release for the D149/D150.

It looks like they are running sandpaper through the machine! Unless that white stuff is lubricant from the lube bar.

Check your wast toner coil unit. There are some conversations on ricoh's tech forum concerning this issue.Is the waste toner bottle missing the actuator?

I don't work on anything that new, so please take this for what it is worth.
Still, if I interpret the pictures you shared here correctly that drum is done as is most likely any seals in the PCU, so that needs to be replaced.
Well, at least replacing that PCU would be the first thing I'd try if I had seen that.

We have same problem on one MP C2003SP, see pictures.
Quality of printing is good.

Drum on monochrome series xxx4 looks pretty similar after a while - sometimes it won't affect the quality much but sometimes the charge coller causes lines. I want the old series back lol
