MP 301spf auto reduce received fax pages?

Have a client that needs to have the received faxes print onto a single letter size page. It seems to keep splitting it up. I have searched the manual and parameter settings and don't see a simple way to do this. I must be missing something. Any help is appreciated!

Are the faxes they are receiving starting out on legal size paper?

If the faxes were multiple pages to begin with, then it will be printed as multiple pages. The sending machine sends an end of page code after each page.

Thanks, I do understand that. What I saying is if it receives a legal page how do we get it to print to letter size?

I don't think what you are looking for is possible.

That's just too much reduction.

I'm fairly sure the limit is 10%. Legal to Letter is 27% if I remember correctly.

I could be wrong. It's happened B4.

Is the problem coming from one particular outside fax machine ?
If so, does the sending machine require a good clean an service?
Could be a scan multi feed issue causing extended page lengths on send.

I don't know about the MP 301 but on older machines that I have worked on, it automatically reduce to fit on letter size. You might want to check if there is a parameter for auto fit to paper.

Very sad if you have to go through all that gibberish just to auto reduce! Ricoh wisdom at work once again!
nearly every other machine out there is a quick user admin change but not Ricoh eh?

Looks like a fax server is sending a doc that is just a few inches longer than letter and it splits it on two pages

They could try receiving to the document server and viewing/print using WIM or fax forwarding email or folder.
