Re: Mpc 3502 with SR 3090 finisher
[QUOTE=BLADE;536250]ok that's interesting, don't think I heard anything unusual tho
While not an EXACT description of a problem I recently saw, this may be applicable. I found I had "jamming" issues with two different SR3090 finishers known to work fine on their own copiers. These newer series copiers needed finishers to have updated firmware to interface properly or they would stop as the paper exited the bridge. The SR3090 finishers required an updated NVRAM to be replaced in order to operate with the latest copiers. However, if you attached one of the larger finishers you could update (finisher) firmware through an SD card and it remedied the issue. Worth investigating? Good luck."Enjoy every sandwich."

Re: Mpc 3502 with SR 3090 finisher
Actually the fay after my response i had the exact machine and finisher jamming, it randomly would attempt to 3 hole punch paper that wasnt sent as a punch job but only if running a booklet, about every 10th sheet in a booklet run the punch engaged and jammed the paper. I reformatted hdd and problem went away.Comment

Re: Mpc 3502 with SR 3090 finisher
Have you tried to unplug and plug back in every connector on the finisher main board, that can really be a solution!
And what is the exact jam location on the smc data sheet? Is the paper late or is the exit sensor activated to long?

Blade:
I really must learn to first read it all very well and then react!!
Yesterday I came upon a weird problem witch might interest you from this point:
mp2851 jammed every time with 3 persons when they send a print (with others employees it worked fine); Citrix environment; when we reinstalled the printer on there PC's everything was ok.
Strange thing: it only jammed with word documents, not with notepath or printer test page...
Iis it jamming both with copy-ing AND printing?Comment
