I cleaned the image off the image drum and transfer belt but it is still appearing on the prints just not as dark as before. Is there anywhere else the image could be stuck?
That seems like a lot of machine to work on for someone asking questions on basic copy quality concerns. Are you the print shop owner trying to save a few bucks by doing your own maintenance?
Looks like there is damage to the surface of the drum. That spot on the drum is probably scraped down some which means the cleaning blade can't clean the toner off anymore. So when the drum runs over the paper the toner that wasn't cleaned off transfers to the paper.
If the drum is damaged all you can do is replace it.
Thank you everyone for your suggestions. I replaced the cyan drum but now I am getting error SC477 so I can't tell if I fixed the problem or not. I can't seem to find that error anywhere on the code lists. I tried to get into clear the errors but it won't let me with the clear modes - 107 - Red button sequence. Does anyone have any ideas?
SC 477 PTR Motor Lock Error. Most common cause is a Bearing(s) in the PTR that are seizing up. You may want to follow the earlier advice in the posts and have this machine serviced by a TRAINED TECHNICIAN. This is too much machine for non professionals. I for one do not like working on machines that non contract customers have done any maintenance or repair to. These clients typically blame the tech for problems he has no control over (like replacing a OPC Drum and then the machine spits out a SC 477 error).
