[Dead] MPC306 zspf

When updatiing fw i did by mistake take all and it started with bank1 (the machine does not have bank) wich ended up with Download error 40 now the mc out of control.
So any tip? new EEPROM:BR24T128 and unfornaly even BICU is that the answer?

How did you update the firmware? Simply installing the paper bank firmware even if the machine hasn't got this option will not cause any issues.
The only issue you could have is if you tried to install non Zsp firmware?

I would start trying to upload just the engine, printer & scanner.

Hi Thanks for answer
we have only Z mc in Sweden so there are only this fw on ricoh ftp.
And there are a bullentin on this, wich i did read afterwords off course :-(
The mc went into sc-673-10 and i cant go into service mode becouse controller dosent respond.
first solution seems to be new eprom and feed it with all settings. I hope it stays with only eprom becouse BICU pcb are halfnewprice (almost) of mc

Had this,unplug HDD ,should boot up,then try the firmware,had same code SC673-10 on a metis C2,new HDD on both cured the problem.On the plus side the machine will still print with the HDD disconnected.

I was fortune
i did only need to put a new eeprom and program it with factory settings. now its up and running again.

REMARK NEVER UPGRADE FW for a unit that are not installed on MC this > MPC306
