    Not entirely so.
If the file is scanned in using the scan portion of the document server or sent to the C3500 using print to document server then it will be in the compressed format used internally by the C3500 and the file format converter is required.

On the other hand, if the fie is scanned into the document server using the Store File option on the scanner function it is saved in the format selected in the scan settings. I had a customer who used this all the time. They found it by reading the operators manual.

      Elmo,
so I did... But it won't work: "can not find printer- of copier-files" is the message...
I have read the manual of the doc.server, indeed it tells me to install file format conv., but that's all the info there is.
      Anyone?

          Re: Ricoh C3500 / Savin c3535 --- SMB PORT!!!

It is fine and dandy if you upgrade to a custom firmware...

          BUT!

I believe that Windows 10 uses port 445 instead of port 139 for SMB scanning!

...and as Ricoh shit goes, you'll have to telnet into the machine to change the port number!
          ---
Change the priority port procedure of the SMB client:
          1) Connect to the target device by using telnet from the command prompt and log in as the administrator.
          2) Enter the following command:
          >smb client port 445

          RICOH Maintenance Shell.
          User access verification.
login: ***** (enter the Administrator login name)
          Password: (enter the password)
          User access verification ... OK.
