MP 4001 SC995 ERROR

Hi all, I have spent many hours searching for answers to this problem to no avail. I have learned this is a serial number mismatch, but I can't find how to solve it.
Back story: This machine worked perfectly with the exception of the ethernet port. Could not get it to connect to the network. I ordered a main board on ebay to
hopefully fix the failed ethernet port. The replacement board matches the existing one exactly, but upon powering up the machine the red dialog appears with
SC995. It won't allow me access to much, and I can't find any info on how to solve this problem. I know it is probably is a serial # mismatch with the new controller
board but how do I reach the screen to enter the correct information?

ok ... by main board do you mean the controller or the bicu?

Please excuse my ignorance lol....not sure which is which. I replaced the board that is mounted in the pullout rack that has the ethernet port on it.
It also has the SD card slots, the memory module and HDD attached to it.

It is the board mounted in the slideout rack that has the Ethernet, SD slot, memory module and HDD mounted on it.

If you read thru the service manual it will explain how to get into service mode
and also the procedure you must follow when replacing boards
i advise you to get help from a qualified tech

We are located in a rural area, so certified techs are not readily available. This is an old machine no longer covered by a service contract. We would like to
save it from the landfill if possible. I don't have access to the service manual for this machine, and have had little luck finding it online.

MP4001 is not so old!!!
A certified tech will solve your serial number problem

**Update... I found the info on how to enter the service menu, the serial number did need changed to match the number of the machine.
I changed it and re-formatted the HDD, but the SC995 error is still present.

Are you sure you have the right Controller Board? D0925724 is for the MP 4001 and D0925714 is for the MP 5001. The boards are not interchangeable and eBay is no guarantee that you got the right PCB. SC995 will not clear if it is the wrong board.

RAM from old board should be moved to the new board
