***Update: I found and ordered the correct board and have the machine up and running. It instantly connected to the network, and all office PC's
can now print to it!!! Thank you all for the helpful comments, I probably could not have figured it out on my own.
It does have one minor little issue going on though.... It keeps displaying: Updating @Remote Certificate... in the lower left hand corner of display.
The message keeps repeating and the machine status keeps cycling from ready to Please wait and back again.
It seems to work fine, but the updating it is trying to do is a bit annoying. Any ideas? I assume it is trying to connect to RICOH servers for
something and probably has the wrong path perhaps...

i agree, betting its not the correct controller. if the part# isn't D092-5724 you've got the wrong one! nothing you do will change the 995 code.[/QUOTE
Thanks again guys for the input....if it is the wrong board how do you tell? Neither of the boards have that part# anywhere on them.
Here is a picture of both...Original on the left, replacement on the right.
Wrong board the one on the right D085 is for a MP3351
You really need to find and check the IEEE802x authentication in Interface Settings and see if it is enabled. All the symptoms you have posted so far lead to that.
Alternate way to clear is SP 5801-011 NCS. This will reset all network settings to factory default, including IEEE 802.11. This also helpful if you screw up trying to create a certificate and can't get back in WIM.
This machine does not have that option within interface settings...our newer RICOH does very clearly list that option and it is disabled on that machine. I know this is not a network, router, or switch problem.
There have been other IP devices used on this location plus I have plugged it into other jacks with the same results. Our netgear switches have status lights on them that light up whenever a device is connected
weather it is configured properly or not. The status light never responds when this machine is plugged in. The copier responds to the switch with lights on the NIC but the Network switch doesn't see the copier.
According to the Product Support Guide:
Gigabit Ethernet Board Type A
EDP Code 402547
Common with the MP 4000
From the service manual - installation - Controller options:
Controller Options
2.21.5 GIGABIT ETHERNET
Unplug the main machine power cord before you do the following procedure.
You can only install one of the following network interfaces at one time: (IEEE 802.11a/g, g
(Wireless LAN), IEEE1284, IEEE1394, Bluetooth).
1. Remove the slot cover [1] from the board slot ( x 2).
2. Insert the Gigabit Ethernet Board into the I/F slot and fasten it with the screws.
3. Print a configuration page to confirm that the machine recognizes the installed board
Slot cover [1] is located next to SD card slots. If there is already something mounted in that slot and it is not a parallel port connection, then it is either Wireless LAN or Blue tooth.

Instead of replacing the controller board you could try and get the optional gigabyte ethernet interface
it is a extra nic the can be fitted to the controler
you could try connecting directly to the copier via a cross over cable this would help eliminate hub/switch
Yes...
I verified that the NIC is clean and undamaged. I wish it was that simple lol It currently has the amber LED on steady and the green one flashing on and off about every two seconds.
I believe that the steady amber light indicates a connection. The flashing light is data activity of some type. It could also be jabber cause by a bad controller or a bad port on the switch/router/hub it is connected to.
Just a quick question. The network port pins are all straight right? I've seen several mangled by ID10T customers who force a usb plug into the wrong port.
