    Ricoh 2090 help

We have a Ricoh 2090 that we replaced the drum. We ran approx 5000 copies on and it ran great. It started toning on the non operator side. If you run sky shoots it is very light on that side and you can rub off the toner on the sheet. The DV unit looks like it is dumping too much developer on that side. We have looked the DV unit over good and cannot find anything that would be causing this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Check the doctor blade for build up. I'm cleaning theses when I replace the developer since the case is empty and you won't make a mess pulling the blade assy out. Also clean the mag roller.

    It shouldn't be dumping
ANY developer. Is the image that rubs off atracted to a magnet? If it isn't it's not developer. Check the pressure levers on the pressure roller and make sure they are all the way up and the springs are on the same hole. Also check the surface of the hot roller. Does it have build up or wear at the rear?
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

      Mag roller spacers have worn.
The drum to sleeve distance is too small especially to the rear.
The rear side allways shows first because that is where it gets the drive.
Therefore more pressure to the rear side.
It rubs off after the fuser because it is all developer.
The developer closer to the drum tends to dissipate the drum charge not attracting toner but dragging developer.
Check them before you ruin a good drum.
Why do they call it common sense?

If it were common, wouldn't everyone have it?

OK problem solved. Took and cleaned the mag rollers real good this time. they did not look to bad, but they should have been cleaned better the first time.
lesson learned, that will not happen again.
        Thanks for all your help.

Whenever changing developer make sure you get all of the old dev out vacumm and if possible carry with you the mylar cleaning strip and if you can get yourself one of those green mesh scrub sponge I have found this to be the best method for cleaning the mag roller shiny clean works like a charm everytime.
