Cloning won't work in general practise. SD cards have a protected area that gets some information programmed by Ricoh that can only be read and written by specific hardware. That makes a simple clone or copy onto a different card useless. Cards often get 'married' to a specific machine as well and can't be move from one machine to another either.

You are over a barrel on this one. Get a new SD or a different machine you can verify function of prior to purchase.

Edit: One additional thought. Look in and around the machine thoroughly as the SD card, if present, may be stashed in an unconventional spot. Say taped to the inside of the front cover under the jam / supply instructions.

      Thx for the Tips !!

Really look through the whole machine today.
And while doing that I got the phone of the old firm which supplied that printer and they explained it was
ordered with the fiery option only, so the needed sd card in slot 1 as you suggested is not supplied.

Could work out a deal with them to get a sd card so this problem is solved . And all are happy .
I am happy that i know that printer inside out and masbe other people here are happy to that they know when feiry is delivered with printer there is no sd on board and unplugging card and sp code 5985-001 wont help alone.

Really appreciate the help of all you guys here !

      with best regards
      sven
