[CQ] Ricoh C3002 color off only when printing

    20170410120627597.pdf

Copies fine but when try to print or use a thumb drive the colors are off, see attachments. Firmware is up to date, tried ACC and only on the print side the test patterns are off. Any ideas would be helpful.

Has the machine ever had an NVRam or an "all clear" that you know of?
If you have the factory print out/birth certificate check all the SP settings are correct.
Also you are using genuine Ricoh toner & parts?

We looked into the Birth certificate and did find that every option was set to 0. But after changing them all to match the BC, the problem still hasn't changed.

What we have going on, the copies from the copier are un-affected. They appear fine. But when something is printed, from other the network or from a USB drive. We get a picture, with distorted colors and its as if shapes are outlined. (see images).

        20170421135216496.pdf

We have done Auto calibrations to this unit and the Copier calibrations come out fine. But the prints calibrations seem to print the first light shades fine, but the shades through the middle are one solid color, and the darkest shades are fine. (see original posters upload).

Firmware has been updated. We have pulled the controller board out to check for loose connections or possible problems in that area.

Don't understand how we can get good copies and yet have this problem when printing. Is there something that is involved in the printing process from network and USB that is not involved in making copies?

Looks like toner save is enabled in printer settings. Or print density is set to a lighter density, finer resolution, or photo instead of text/photo. I'd look around in the printer settings in the user tools.

Thanks for the reply, but no luck. Went to the printer settings and could not find anything off, tried changing some of the setting you suggested, but no change in problem.
