    ricoh mp4000 duplex problem

I have changed the whole duplex unit ( what a job) and it has the exact same issue
The paper travels from the fuser into the turnover, then on the way back out it stops just short of the second set of pick up tires, its directed properly, i can find no sensor in this area, and to have both units do the exact same thing leads me to believe its a Board issue? no c'mon cant it be something else......please advise thanks

check the 3 grey rollers on the fusing unit facing the duplex. i had one out of position and causing paper to skew and jam.

thank you, they are in place, and there is no skewing, i forgot to mention, the paper just stops, like when its the wrong size and the machine just stops..
or you have a slipping feed tire, none of witch are the case here.

Does it do the same on all paper sources? Also when you get the jam code check that it says the same size paper in the code as what is in the cassette. I have had flaky sensors that detect the wrong size paper for just an instant and cause similar issues. Of course I don't recall at the moment if the 4000 uses size detecting sensors or not so take it for what it is worth.

              Re: ricoh mp4000 duplex problem

I think it could be the secondary motor? i did test s on a similar machine , and i dont think i noticed the second motor turning on, this could cause the stopping? in the test the secondary motor does not kik on till the paper is almost out of the turn over heading down into the duplex unit , i dont think the problem unit did this, is there a sensor that tells the motor to go on ? or is it timing? i cant find a sensor in the area for this, so im thinking its just after the paper passes through the first section to turn over? hmmm
