Ricoh MP c3002 poor print quality

Have an MP C3002, poor photo print quality. Copy quality great, internal test prints great, When I perform an ACC copier prints great. Then perform printer ACC, I get that funky (600 x 600) auto calibration test pattern.
Saw a previous thread when clearing printer memory SP 5801-08 , then doing ACC ,the printout is perfect. And prints from the computer are perfect ! However if I scan in the auto calibration test pattern in when performing
the ACC ( printer) everything goes back to crappy photo prints. If I Clear printer memory (SP 5801-08) again, and perform the ACC , printer without scanning in the test pattern, everything is great.
I could probably leave it this way, but I want to solve this the right way, Any ideas ?

Also switched print controller. But transferred the dimm and HDD to different controller pcb. Problem followed to different print controller.

Just tried the ACC using 1200 x 1200, scanned the test print and everything is prints good . However when performing the ACC using 600 x 600 and scan the test print, back to poor quality. What am I missing ?
I could just make a note for this particular 3002, but it would be nice to have it right

One thing to remember is that that most monitors are RGB where as color laser copier/printers are CMYK. The printed color is not going to exactly match what is on the screen. Also most monitors are light sourcing where copies are light reflecting/absorbing. Copies/prints are also effected by the color, quality, texture and thickness of the paper. I recently read a post about a customer who was printing on yellow paper and then asking why what was supposed to be white wasn't.

When running ACC, I always clean the optics first. I then run copy ACC to set the scanning before running print ACC. Then run all print ACC in the order of lowest resolution to highest.

Vaguely recall this being an Eprom on I think the BCU or IPU.

It has been covered on here before.

Try sp 5610-04, this will set ACC data back to factory settings, then do ACC. Sometimes the ACC data gets corupted from writing over itself so many times.

Try to do force line adj. Mode c,a and b
2 times then restart from sp mode,
                  Calibrate colors from 123 menu,
                  Then replay the result :-)

Check what levels your firmware is on, this often gets overlooked on these older models.

Want to thank everyone for all the input. I left the system performing an ACC on the 1200 dpi and so far everything is great.
