It is a registry edit. This might help.
See various ways to detect, enable, and disable the Server Message Block (SMB) protocol (SMBv1, SMBv2, and SMBv3) in Windows client and server environments.

For Windows 10 you can just go into Add/remove programs and then Turn Windows features on and off. Just look for SMB1.0/CIFS File Sharing Support. Put a check in the box and then reboot when prompted.

If the firmware is where it should be there is another thing you might try. I don't know if this holds true for Ricoh products but the area I work in now is mostly populated with Kyocera products. The problem I have been running into is setting up scanning with the Microsoft user accounts that Windows 10 seems to default to. When I add a local user account and give that user read/write permissions to the scan folder everything works ok.

No one has asked if the OP is running Win10 Home Edition...

It shouldn't make a difference. Or at least I have no problem setting up SMB scan to Win 10 Home, i.e. my own laptops.

My work laptop has windows 10 home on it and I was able to scan to folder with an SP3510, MPC4000 and an MP6503.

Is there something special that is supposed to be done first?
