    Mpc5502a jam only when printing

    OK I saw this for myself so I can verify that this machine jams only when it prints . Walk up and make a copy of the same document and it works just fine . Seems to dogear the non-op side leading edge corner when they print but not when they copy .

    We updated all the drivers and it still does the same thing .

    Anyone have a clue as to what in the world is going on here?

      when printing are they doing duplex and what tray are they using. paper dog ear means it is catching as paper going through copier. When copying make sure it use same tray and if duplex make sure it does that too. also open rt side door at different times and see if paper has been caught will kind of tell where it is happening.

              Doesn't always jam but was dog earring the lead edge corner of the document . It was showing a jam at the entrance to the bridge unit . I reinitialize the network system , And then deleted the drivers on their computers and reinstall those . If I pull up a template in word and print it it works fine so there is something definitely an issue in there adobe with the previous driver .

                  Is the difference between copying and printing is that one is stacked face up and the other face down in the exit tray? To arrive face up in the tray the paper has to take a trip via the duplex path.
                  At least 50% of IT is a solution looking for a problem.

                      If your paper is being bent over at lead edge something has to be catching paper some ware. Might be intermittent problem. My thought would be trying to stop it at different times open front door then see if paper is bent try running that program and see when it happens.

                          Out of interest how do you think "reinitializing their network" & "reinstalling the drivers" with fix the dogear jamming issue you have got!?

                          Any weird issue always start with updating ALL the fw files.

                              Due to the fact that copying works just fine. Duplex, simplex, adf, platen, any paper tray, all fine. Print only causes issues, that's why.
