MP 201 WIM Password

Can't login to my 201 under admin or supervisor. I did 5-846-046, 5-801-10 & 11 and still nothing

I thought 5-846-046 would work cause it always has in the past but i'm stumped...any ideas?

Have you tried doing the SP setting in PP Mode?

I did 5-846-046 in Factory service mode, thats the only way you can even access it. Any other ideas?

You may have a corrupted address book.

Try the following:

1. SP 5846-051 Backup all address books
2. SP 5846-050 Initialize All Address Books
3. Cycle power
4. Update/reload all firmware.
5. SP 5846-052 Reload All Address Books(if old address book data is still needed).

You may have a corrupted address book.

Try the following:

1. SP 5846-051 Backup all address books
2. SP 5846-050 Initialize All Address Books
3. Cycle power
4. Update/reload all firmware.
5. SP 5846-052 Reload All Address Books(if old address book data is still needed).

I did that...no go. It does say address book data error. Any other thoughts? Don't know if doing an 5801 would help but cant really cause i don't have the birth certificate

If it occurred while backing the address book, go ahead and initialize. If that fails, then you have defective memory or if there is a HDD it needs to be replaced.

If it occurred while backing the address book, go ahead and initialize. If that fails, then you have defective memory or if there is a HDD it needs to be replaced.

There's no HDD out of the box on these machines, the Address book data is stored on a part of the internal memory.

Before replacing any hardware its always a good idea to update ALL the firmware modules, nothing to loose.

Following up on a question about the Address Book Data Error...I have been finding lately a lot of machines on the scanner function switches to the number of the user rather than just the SMB folder path. so it shows "001" and their name rather than "\\PATH\SCANS" or whatever it may be. Also there is a telephone in the top left rather than it saying ready. Any ideas as to why this is happening? I have just corrected it (temporarily of course) by shutting of the machine and powering it back on.

If you look at it it is probably alternating between the phone icon and "call service" if the machine has no service telephone number programmed into SP mode it won't show a number next to the phone icon.

Yes but why would it be needing to call for service in the first place?
