    Ricoh MPC4502 fixing films.....

    Hi,
have any of you out there sourced a good aftermarket fixing film/sleeve for the MPC4502/5502 copiers. I have fitted some that work OK, but give a "feathering" effect on the solids. They are OK if you only print text but if the user prints colour the solids are not good enough. I guess some would say just fit an original, but in the UK Ricoh charge silly money for a part that almost never makes life, so re filming a unit (as is possible with most other brands) would be a good alternative.

    Thanks
    Steve

They do make life if you replace the stripper plate and the pressure roller at the same time.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

      Ricoh D1444033, Sleeve Fusing Unit,

i have seen just the sleeve's for sale on the likes of ebay but haven't used any
Iam sure there are a few bulletins about the 02 fuser's
      They may help
iam sure someone may be able to recommend a non original fuser sleeve supplier

The latest fuser sleeves do last PM life, in fact they now go beyond life.

The fixing film assembly(D1444272)is not expensive and less hassle than trying to replace the film. They will go to life and beyond.
Replace the LFR at the same time too.
