MP 7500 with 50 sheet booklet finisher

Hi Folks I was wondereing if anyone has come accross this problem. I currently have aproblem where the machine jams very intermittantly showing a 131 finisher jam about 3 times in 8000 copies. Obviously this is a nightmare to fault find as its the old toothache dentist senario. On the one occasion I have seen this there is one sheet about 1 inch left in the finisher exit and one sheet just at the nip of the entrance rollers. Any help greatfully appreciated. This machine only has 400k on the clock.

My first recommendation on any non mechanical issue is to update the firmware one the machine and the finisher. Make sure you update all the firmware and not just the system and copy sections. The jam code is for the shift roller area. Try cleaning the rollers, checking the guides and checking/swapping the sensor after that.
the savin2535 is displaying well bet the hiter lamp is not shining and the lamp had been tested o.k.please kindly help.
Samir: No, not again. I... why does it say paper jam when there is no paper jam? I swear to God, one of these days, I just kick this piece of shit out the window.
Michael Bolton: You and me both, man. That thing is lucky I'm not armed.

cheers Guys. It turned out to be shift motor causing the problem. I had already done the firmware with no joy. fitted motor and no jams for over 20k. thanks for your info anyway.
