MP 301 after updating does not configure network and blocks

    Hi everyone
In MP 301, after updating all the firmware: network, scanner, systen copy, engine ... etc I can not change the IP of the machine from the panel: User Tools / System Settings / Interface Settings / Network, press on the screen the Network button the machine blocks, does not respond to any key, it must be turned off directly.
By WIM if it can be configured.
Update has not been good or maybe some, I do not know which of them
The same thing happened in 2 machines after upgrading.
Someone knows what has produced this and how to solve it.

Unfortunately it sounds like you have installed the wrong firmware or not installed all firmware modules together and there is a conflict. Below is a list of all the newest firmware modules, compare them against what's on these machines and find out what is wrong / missing.

It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

      Thanks for the info.
Problem solved. Indeed the blockade was caused by the lack of updating of one of the modules, specifically OpePpanel.
Updating all the modules except this, caused the problem of blocking the machine to be outdated and try to configure the network from the panel of the machine.

You just "quoted" the solution. There is a firmware conflict.
You need to update the F/W.
Obviously you're an end user, so you either need to contact a tech to do that, or download and run the FREE F/W update tool

What happens is that in my city, there are no technicians, and the Ricoh application for firmware doesn't work via USB, only through the network. Since I can't connect to the network, I can't update it. The other option is through the SD card, but I don't have the firmware files.

Then what led to this situation you're in, because it doesn't happen on its own
Did you buy the machine like this, or what? If so, I'd be taking it up with the seller.

What happens is that I provided a computer equipment repair service, and they recommended me for the job, but I have been researching and it led me here.

Determine the current IP address of the machine either by printing a configuration page, or otherwise.
Connect your laptop to their Wi-Fi, then connect your laptop directly to the MFP using an ethernet cable.
Set the static IP Address on your laptop for that hard-wired connection to something that matches the range of the IP address on the machine.
Then you can specify the IP address of the unit to be updated within the Update tool program and the updates will be downloaded over wi-fi and installed.
I just experimented with this setup on a machine that I have at my office and it worked.

GO into System SP to SP 7992-005, Diagnostic Report, export it to a memory device and post that file here so that we can see what firmware levels are installed. Also let us know what JAVA apps if any are installed. There is an outside possibility that you have an app installed that requires Custom Firmware. If that is the case, you need to install that custom firmware after every firmware update. Or if the JAVA app was only needed for the previous owner, uninstall the app.

                      Good Advice.
It reminded me of the fact that the Update tool WILL NOT work, nor will the package update, if there is any custom F/W installed.
In that case, you have to, at a minimum, install a non-custom version of that specific module (Ie: System/copy) which, as far as I know, would have to come from an authorized dealer.
I ran across this just recently myself with a new customer.

Did you do exactly as described above with the RFUT tool, separately from the network?
