    Can i use a mpc2050 ITB unit on a mpc2051,it fits

I am trying to finish a mpc2551 by stealing from my scrap pile,,'
I took a mpc2050 ITB unit and installed it along with a missing hard drive..
Upon power on I GET SC 452 after15 seconds and it seems the motor did not spin..
no binding as i can spin the motor easily..
When ckin sc history it seems i get a sc442 with every sc452 code..

No you can not use an MPC2550 ITB unit in an MPC2551 you will get an SC442 error, oh wait thats the error you're getting!

      Error Codes > Ricoh > D040 MPC2550 DI-C1 > Code 442

Mpc2050 older machine ITB unit fits on a MPC2551 OR MPC2051 machine..
I just google both belt only numbers and it seems the belt works in both the
          mpc2050 and the mpc2551/mpc2051 series..
          thanks

Same p/n in parts catalog, so I'd have to agree with you

I have 3 ITB units in front of me,2 i know are the mpc2050 series and third i though was mpc2551 but i cant see any difference..
IS there a place i can find the part number stamped or something physical i can tell them apart??
The third unit has no belt in it and i dont want to swap a good belt only to find it unuseable
              thanks

HI Are you sure of that?
I Google mpc2551 ITB unit and when i found it listed on precision roller they show it
working on both mpc2030/mpc2050/mpc2550 and the needed mpc2551 that i am
                trying to finish..

I Checked both parts catalogs. The C2550 currently uses the same ITB as the C2551 ITB, Part Number D1056003. The original part number for the C2550 was D0396003.

yeah i saw the part number change but now i am looking to see if my issue is something else..
I am still mulling on this one as i never had this unit running.
it was a bought with blank lcd and i found the customer b4 sending back
to leasing company pulled the hard drive out and never reconnected the two flat ribbon
connectors to the BCU brd..i had used the good ITB unit as a customer swap and never took the old bad one back..
i saw this when cking blown fuses and sensors section.
                    S20 ITB Contact Sensor L CN234/5 Open/Shorted SC442
shorted 24 V fuse on the PSU. sc442
I get a sc452 on display but via service mode and sc history i get a sc 442 with every sc 452 so who is the leader here?

In most instances, the first to occur is what is displayed. SC 442 is for the ITB contact motor. SC 452 is for the PTR contact contact. +24V is common to both either +24S2 or +24S3 which are +24V2 and +24V3 after passing through the interlock switch.

I would say that the SC542, which is a fusing unit error is the leader of the pack.

i swapped a different ITB contact motor assembly with sensor,a different ITB unit and same problem..
I will look at the point to point on both models to see if something is wired different or it just might be time to pick up another machine and
                              part out this one..
