Then you would set up user codes and give permissions as needed

Or install a B&W printer driver instead.

        Re: Mpc3002 configuration

Greetings. I tried for two hours making several attempts by creating two users, one for printing only in b / w and one for color printing but it would seem harder than expected then I gave up. Thanks

This should be a walk in the park.

Install say the PCL 6 driver, then in printer properties choose advanced settings, printing defaults, then choose B/W.

Next repeat the process (as if you were installing another printer) this time leave the settings as default (colour)

thanks but the problem is to block some computers with codes not to print in color.

For the restricted computers use a black & white printer driver, like MP 4002.

The way I, and many others handle this situation is to install the color driver, then set up user codes on the copier, then restrict who gets a user code for color printing.

The operator/ user manual will walk you through the procedure, including how to assign the codes.

With some it is in the Security manual which can be found on the CD that comes with a new machine.

If you can download the old printer driver editor from ricoh, you can edit the driver and remove the color selection.
                      or
                      download MP4002 driver
                      or
set the user code authentication and limit users to print BW.
                      Aye! Cut the crap
