Mps c2504 latest firmware

I have a customer that is having scan to email & printing issues. I need to update the firmware. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If they are having scan to email issue firmware will not help you, the only thing firmware will help is scan to folder if SMB V1 is disabled

Enable the Automatic Remote Firmware Update on the machine. That will keep the firmware up to date automaticlly.

print and Scan to email?

what errors are you getting from both tries?
As davel suggested .. crossover cable from lapper ( set ip addy correctly ) try generic print to ip addy

quick lesson.. does the scan to email go out over same Enet line as print comes in on? You say you cannot perform EITHER function correctly.. Start there...

was it scan/print properly before? what's changed?

did you check ip addy? is it in range?
try a new cable?

Always worth updating the firmware first before replacing any parts, as this is free.

Yes.. but the symptoms dont match firmware issues.
I always update FW .. like I said.. sounds like network/connectivity isuues.

His profile show that he is from the US so if he can't access TSRC or rfgesource he is not an authorized Ricoh tech. He has been a member since May of 2010 but only has 5 posts and a RED card. Looks to me like he is a taker not a helper.

If you can explain more, can you print at all? can you ping the machine or open the WIM?

Sounds like the machine is not connected to a network.
