I have an issue with mp8000 + sr970 hole punch misalignment. I can't find any info on this here or through the ricoh hotline. The hole punch is aligned if sending to the top finisher proof tray OR if you are stapling. But if you send to the shift tray without stapling, the paper seems to be going in skewed about 10 percent of the time and thus the hole punches are skewed.
I looked over the finisher for two hours yesterday for some sort of physical block or a spring falling off of a roller bracket, etc., but could not find any such issues. I also cleaned the finisher rollers in the paper path and removed all the chads from the whole punch unit. there's only 35000 copies on the machine so I don't believe any component could be worn down.
My mp8000 has the current 3.18 finisher firmware. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
