    mpc8002 doc feeder issue

    I have a doc feeder on a MPC8002 that will pull multiple pages only when its loaded with 2-3-4 sheets, if i load it up with 60-70-80 it runs just fine..??
    i of coarse changed the sep roller,white mag clutch, and cleaned the little mylar rubber combo pad any one have this issue?

    By white mag clutch do you mean the torque limiter that the separation roller mounts onto? If not, replace it.

      yes i meant the torque limiter, but im going to re place it again, it could be defective

        See if there's a firmware update for that SPDF. They just came out with one for the Metis series that addresses separation issues (multifeeding, sep sensor jams). Also a good idea to replace the guide with the rubber pad on it.

          okay i replaced the guide with the rubber pad,the torque limiter, and the reverse roller again all OEM
          worked all day yesterday, just got the call its still pulling 2 together when theres only 4 pages, at 7 pages it does not! ????
          could firmware be the issue?????

              I did notice a small "rut" in the lifting tray, right where the feed tire grabs the paper, but they all seem to have this little shiny rut right there,
              sorry im drawing at straws here
              im having the client put a piece of tape over it...
