[Misc] PM Counter button on SP main screen

We used to be a Savin dealer and we still have some Ricohs/Savins that we service for other dealers. I know we used to have to go to a sim to turn on the PM Counter button, so it shows on the SP mode main screen. But i cannot for the life of me find it anywhere on this Ricoh MP402spf. The pic below is right out of the 402 Service manual so you would think the machine is capable of doing it. Any idea how to turn this feature on?

    Thanks

Might be missing a firmware update on that one.

To my knowledge it was something that used to be on the SP menu but no longer is. The exception is Production models. On those models that have it there was no setting to turn it on. It was there from the factory.

I hope someone does find an SP for that, I would really like to be able to turn it on. Most small machines don't have it, and it's really usefull.

The METIS never used to have this option, until after a fw update it appeared.

However the 402 being a new model, maybe because the toner etc are consumable its it doesn't have this PM option?

You would assume that because this picture is right out of the 402 manual it would be available. But this wouldn't be the first time a copier manufacturer got a manual wrong. Hopefully someone knows about this. Thanks for the replies so far.

That was going to be my question. What PM items would a 402 have? Drums won't make yield, of the series I believe where they expect feed rollers to go the life of the machine...?

                  Drum
                  Fuser PM Parts
                  Transfer Roller
                  Feed Rollers
                  ADF Rollers

                  Drums do go their yield...sometimes.
Feed rollers do not last the life of the machine, they are rated for 180k, thats about what they go.
Firmware fixed the fuser problems the early machines had.

These 401/402 models are not too bad. The only real problem is the toner dusting on the LED array. Ricoh just came out with a new drum designed to correct that problem, I hope it works.

180k is pretty close to published life expectancy.
Drums are not new design. They decided they were manufacturing them wrong.
ADF rollers as needed. Usually not a set number of copies.

Just strikes me more as an as needed parts replacement machine. More of an entry level, get your foot in the door design machine.
