    Replacing hard drive MP-C2003

Is there any software that needs to be installed when replacing the hard drive or is it just for storage?

Do you honestly think you're the first one to ask about HDD replacement here? Maybe consider showing just the slightest bit of initiative and consider doing a search, and reading through some of the 500 or more discussions already on this site relating to HDD replacement on Ricoh machines

Just stick the new drive in, it'll be fine.

I searched replacing hard drive c2003 and nothing came up. I didn't do a search on generic hard drive because I am sure not all models are the same. I am not even asking for myself I am helping out someone else who has a customer that might need one. If you don't want to help just ignore the 500 who asked and don't be such a dick.

Thanks for the info. I guess it's too hard for others to give a quick and simple answer.

Sandy did not say numerous threads for the C2003. He said for replacing the HDD. As for your question, are there any Solutions or apps currently installed on the MFP? If so, you will need any source SD cards and files. Also be aware you will lose any documents stored in document server.

Can someone tell me why when I searched replacing MP-C2003 hard drive nothing came up? Why didn't any post with the words replacing hard drive come up? I just did a search replacing hard drive and a lot came up so I started to read through a few and it raised more questions. I also see so many contributors with conflicting advice, so how does someone who is not that familiar with Ricoh supposed to know who is giving the right info?

Basically as an end user you're not supposed to remove any screws.

Replacing the HDD should only done by a trained tech.

However, out of interest why are you looking to replace the drive? do you have a specific issue/error?
