Ricoh Pro C5110s Drawer stuck won't open

We have a Ricoh Pro C5110s and the drawer unit not the paper drawers is stuck. It will only open about 1 inch then it stops. Any ideas what could be stopping it?

First clear any jams, follow the recovery instructions on the screen, especially in the finisher the tray should be released.

If not turn the machine off, let it shut down fully, you should be able to open the draw.

There is a recovery procedure in the service manual for just this scenario.

Try this, if it doesn't work, you will have to take off the cover of the drawer and turn the lock motor manually.
