I have one of these machines out in the field right now and it keeps giving me an intermittent wrinkling problem on the copies. However, what I am wondering is what all possible causes can there be for this intermittent problem and it seems to happen the worst when the paper comes out 8 1/2 x 11. Any help appreciated, thank you.

When was the last time the pressure roller was changed? I'm thinking either paper or fuser, but leaning more towards a fuser-related issue.

Also, is there any build up on the guides? The upper exit guide can get warped with heat that might be catching only some of the paper exiting.

If pressure roller, bearings etc are ok, check fuser entrance and exit guides for toner build ups,check paper drawer for correct side to side alignment.also check smc for fusing temps, and monitor.

I agree, fuser entrance guide is no. 1 culprit......lead edge just catches toner build-up the odd time.

Check fusing cleaning roller maybe a lot of toner sticked,so that the operation of fusing unit is abnormal.

try whats written on the 1st comment.... assuming you havent tampered yet both pressure roller tension.. get another press roller and see if the paper creases after it comes out... even in ricoh analog copiers we get experienced on slightly warped press rollers causing intermittent paper creased after each copy....
