Dirty black line 4055 and target yield

    Hi there,

on a Ricoh 4055ASP I got a dirty black line when printing out at the end of the page printed along the short site of the paper (see example as attachment EDIT: I had problems uploading it fully sized, hence I just added a little example of that as picture).
I would now go ahead and service the pcdu.

What I'm wondering is that this machine is only at 80k and the target yield is at 160k. Could there be anything else.
I know it depends on the individual printing of the client but I want to know anyway what is your experience in general when it comes to target yields?

    Thanks.

    Best regards,
    Trommel

before making various replacements it begins to do a thorough cleaning of the drum unit, charge roller, I would at least replace the cleaning blade, clean where you see scattered toner and also check the magnetic roller that does not have a black surface, in case rub with a piece of folded paper.

We seem to be getting good yields out of this series, and its predecessor too. They generally at least come close to rated yield and often even exceed it. I would start with just cleaning and inspection of the PDCU; you may find that something has gotten inside resulting in a cleaning or toner recovery issue.

We don't all read French, can you post it in English on this English forum?
