Good day team, I have been servicing the MP C6503 for over three years and this is the first time I have uncounted a stuck or jammed in place the black pcdu. Can anyone shed some light on this or how to remove it. I don't want to damage it by force. Can anyone help.

I had a C6502 this happened on. Get some emery cloth and lightly sand the shaft where it's exposed until you can pull the PCU assembly out. Once it's out, you might want to lightly sand the entire shaft a little bit, and make sure you wipe it down really well before you put the PCU back into the machine.
It's a pain in the neck (...or slightly lower), but it does work.Comment

Just don't yank it out and have the whole thing land on the floor, that would be embarrassing.Comment

I had that problem just once, and once was enough. Getting it out was a chore. All of the above suggestion were used. In the end it was just physical force to removed it. I don't believe sanding the shaft is the real answer. The problem was that black grease, I forgot the name of it, drying out and getting hard. In my case, I could not even get the face plate off at first. From that point on, every time I remove the black PCU I always thoroughly cleaned off all of that grease and applied a new coating. I have never had the problem again.Comment
