    2018, 2000, 2501 etc

At this series of machines whan paper jam occurs at fusing , paper press upper picker fingers up and displace them.
When client removes jammed paper fingers remain displaced and he has to press them down to brink then at the right position.
Usually after some times the plastic that holds finger in position brakes and have to replace the upper part of fusing unit.
Is there any other way to place fingers in place ?

I usually bend the spring plate that holds the white plastic roller down a bit to put more pressure on pawl. Not too much though otherwise you shorten the hot roller life.

Updated pawl ass'y D1584043 seems to be working beter than the initial pawl design too but bend the plate slightly on them anyway as a precaution...and the pawl attaches to the plate and not the fuser case so no more rebuilding fusers because the case broke where the pawls seat

*Edit D1584043 comes with redesigned pawl, plate and spring. Only the white plastic roller needs to be ordered seperate

Also...there's a easy mod for the white guide rollers.
Remove them one at a time and bend the metal "leaf springs" down to put more pressure on the pawls.

The secret is to address why its jamming in the fuser, usually damp/poor quality paper or the lead edge is too small.

check that the nail supports are not broken, otherwise make changes as described in 8T2, or replace the fuser roller, stripper pawls, springs and pressure bushings
