What about the rest of the PM parts? Did you initialise dev correctly and clean everything first, was dev roller clean.

if this were the case, it would not be possible to insert them. They have obligatory pins.

suck the whole part around the drum including led lamps, filters, replace the other parts too see the pm counter list (at least those of the drum and transfer section) also clean the scanner section. Total number of pages? There are other posts on this classic problem with similar models.

You can get them in there but not seated right, I have done it a few times. Definitely worth a look.

Do not suck (vacuum) anywhere near the ID sensor as doing so can generate enough static to damage the sensor. You can vacuum most of the drum frame but stay at least 1 inch away from the sensor. Use an artist's brush to remove toner next to the sensor. Clean the face of the sensor itself with a soft cotton cloth moistened with water only, anything else can damage the sensor.

I always pull both sensors out,the one on the top of the clam shell, and put them to the side..
This way i can vacuum out w/out any issues....

I just had a bad toner hopper that caused light copies.after a developer change. They don't usually break but something to check.

I think it cloggs over time too and a quick vacuum will remedy..also that plastic piece above dev unit with the 2 mylars that fall off too when toner comes back from drum unit....
