Check settings SP 2403 through SP 2538 and return all of them to their default values. These set paper transfer current based on paper type and side. For some, but not all, paper types and thicknesses the current for side 2 are different from side 1. The current being too low will produce washed out images.

yes, i can run around 100 copies and then black is dropping out, ill stop clean laser shield and back to normal. what keeps making the laser shield dirty that quick in your opinion.
