Hi friends Mp2852 while updating firmware by using sd card take long time and still not finish hang on engine update so what is the problem and how to solve the problem please help me friends...

Corrupt firmware file, did you get it from Ricoh.

Yes, i get it from ricoh, now machine showing E32

When the error screen is displayed:
clear modes / 1 4 3 / clear stop (x3) / reboot

Then try again

ALSO, is there a specific reason you are trying to update F/W?

Adding to sandmanmac comments.

After clearing . Reformat the SD card and load the firmware again and continue updation.

Yes machine always showing sc899 that is why i try to update firmware machine current NIB version is 10.68 so I try to update it to 10.70

If you are updating using package try just the engine fw in the romdata folder.

And leave the LAN disconnected until the update has completed.

Also, when you update one firmware, it's advisable to update all the others to the latest version.

I've had problems (not that one, though) when just updating network and not the others.

They have a specific "Custom Firmware" for SC899 issue released 5/27/2014.

When printing a certain website by using a PCL5 or PCL6 driver, an SC899 error occurs. Cause: The character-rendering position is incorrectly calculated during the font-hinting process, which causes memory corruption and results in the SC899 error.

Make sure you load that version of the PCL firmware.
Still do the update for the others too, because the 12.70 NCS firmware was required for newly added SMBv2/v3 support. (Also requires you to update System, Scanner, web support).

Make sure they have the correct drivers loaded too. NO PCL6 V4, No Universal.
Strictly PCL6!

You must have a lot of customers currently having trouble printing. Windows Update Has blocked print cabability!
