To avoid breaking the toner attachment mechanism, it is recommended to disassemble the output tray (in the absence of a bridge or a stapler), located above the toner to access the hopper, otherwise more difficult from the back of the machine.

I agree...AND this might avoid Making a huge mess if the cartridge were to come apart while forcing it out.

It won't, these toner bottles have a spring loaded cap to prevents this.

i think the c2503 bottles are the same as mpc6003.
What i have been seeing is the spring loaded "plunger" being stuck in the open position when pulling out the cartridge..
if bottle was full it would be a major mess but so far just seen with almost empty bottles..
I would do a forced toner feed and see if that does anything b4 trying to force it out..
MAybe take some parts from shop machine if possible,,,

No, the MP C2503 toners are NOT the same as MP C6003.

However if the customer has one they will make it fit!

I've had PLENTY of customers hand me the bottle on arrival.
They just rip them out and leave the collar behind.

                        toners are the same.
i have tried and yes the drum itself it layed out cheaply on a mpc2503..
kinda stupid, good design on mpc3503 but lets save $100 on a mpc2503 design..
Probably wht rico stock is so low...

At this point none of us know why the cartridge is stuck. IF it's the correct one/type as you have assumed, you are probably correct. IF it's been damaged severely enough or IF the wrong one and has been jammed or otherwise damaged, we simply don't know how it may come back out. I just like being prepared...and that is all was saying. I am now through with this thread.
