    Ricoh Finisher SR3210 Paper Stuck issue (Video)

    Hey guys.

    I'm a non tech person who recently purchased Ricoh MP C3004ex from an office. With it came Finisher SR3210.

    When I bought the copier I tested and finisher was working great it has stample module which seems pretty good to use. However when I do a copy it gets stuck on this part: (vide included)


    I've two questions:

    1) How much would it cost for someone to out out in Bay Area, CA to fix this.

    2) Can I try anything on my end to see if I can solve this.

      If the jam number is a J100 I have a feeling that the entrance to the finisher has gotten bent by someone using it as a lift point. I have seen this frequently whe a customer tries to move their equipment on their own. Most of the metal parts on the portion of the finisher are thin and are very easy to bend. Visually inspect it.If it is bent you might be able to straighten it.

              I didn't get a good look at it on video. Checked and for the SR3210/SR3220 the jam codes are 200s instead of 100s. J201 is a finisher entrance trail edge jam. Still could be a result of someone bending the entrance guide.

                  Your original post is a bit unclear.

                  You say it was working when tested, was this at it's current location where the machine is installed now or was it before it was moved and installed where it is now?

                  As slimslob said the entrance guide is very easy to bend during transport so if it stopped working after being moved I would start there.

                  If it was working in current location and suddenly stopped I think you may have to dig a bit deeper and it would be best to get a tech out to come check sensors etc.

                      It will probably need a strip down. I noticed when you pulled the finisher off the main frame that a sensor looks a bit squint. You might get away with pushing it in. Worth a shot. Just below the play button in the picture that plate thats sticking out should be flush with the rest of the flat metal plate below it. A sensor sits on that plate and its possible it's not able to see the paper correctly being at that angle

                          Check entrance guide plate if not removed when moved it bends remove finisher and check

                              i agree as they bend easily and impead motion of the 1st set of feed rollers...
                              I just had on a mp2503 finisher and had to reform that plate..
