    MPC3002 SC571-00

Hi all, I've got this MPC3002 with error SC571-00. 5810 doesn't reset and the PR thermistors are pretty torn up. Just wondering if the thermistors are a probable fix and is there a spacial procedure for this model. I'm familiar with ricoh color through MPC5000. These seem to behave a little differently.

Yes , replace the thermistors. Actual fuser temp can be checked in sp mode 1106 to identify which thermistor has failed. Code is cleared by 5810-002, IF it has a new reset fuse installed in the fuser. These fuses come with a new fusing sleeve.

Just remember, if the cause of the SC has not been corrected, it will immediate error again.

As mika said, a reset fuse is included with a new fusing sleeve. When you replace the sleeve during scheduled and not because of an error you do not need the fuse. Put in your spare parts kit. Then when you have a repairable error, you have a reset fuse.

Tried both 5810 to no avail. As far as anyone knows code just appeared, no fuser damage other than the thermistors seem worn through. I have some "reset" fuses, pico. 1/16 A. Do I need the fuse as well as thermistors?

If you have had the fuser apart it is possible to accidentally bend the thermistor away from the pressure roller it will then throw this error.

Personally I would replace the fuser sleeve & thermistor & also the pressure roller if it looks worn especially around the area the thermistor makes contact.

              • Code: 571-00
              • Description:Causes:Remedy:1. Check if the thermistor is firmly connected. 2. Replace the center thermistor.
