Did I just fry my 3004?

I'm afraid I permanently ruined my MP C3004 after firmware. I've downloaded the same firmware file on about 4 other 04's so far with no issue.

On this one I did do the package firmware instead of the module firmware (when i did individual modules they didn't all show up, so i did package ).

The one thing i did notice was that when it said the update was complete, below it showed 11/12.

And now when i hit print from my computer it immediately goes into SC-637-01.

Did i mess it up? That code mentions SD applications, and this machine did have a bunch of applications that i uninstalled through the web image monitor. Maybe I uninstalled something i shouldn't have?

Edit: I went back and did firmware again for the individual modules that showed. I hit print and it worked, but about 30 seconds later it coded again. It just shows Function Problem now with no code, prompting me to restart, but in the service mode i can see that the code is still 637-01

Reinstall Java, that might fix your problem.

      Try this,

User Tools -> ([Machine Features]) -> [System settings] -> [Administrator Tools] -> [Enhanced Print Volume Use Limitation] -> [Tracking Permission]
      to OFF

If still no good, turn off Java, SP-5730 change from 1 to 0

I could be wrong but I believe that the 11/12 indicates 11 of the 12 modules in that package were updated.

One thing you can do on that MP C3304 is to turn on Automatic Remote Firmware update by
            changing SP-5886-111 from 0 to 1
Then the machine will always stay up to date with the most current firmware.

Exactly he powered off the machine too early.

Wait until the screen shows 12/12

I've had this a few times now this could also happen if paper cut or a another extended feature {application} is installed incorrectly its changes some default settings on copier so I don't waste time I just reset 58xx 4x in factory clear parts of nvram format hdd that works for me if you don't need java best to turn of

Or as I have often seen, only 11 of the 12 modules in the package needed to be updated or an error occurred with one of the modules.

Another useful tip is to never update FW during a lightning storm. Was late Friday afternoon after a long week had to update a Pro C5100 and wasn't really thinking and the power went out during the update. I had to unplug the machine and go back Monday to let it finish updating. i left the SD card in it and when i turned it back on it just restarted the last module it was updating, then i had to power cycle it to update the rest of the modules.
