    Document Server missing

    Hi guys,

I just got some used machines in and one of them, MPC 4504ex has no Doc Server funtion on it, machine does have HDD installed and all other functions are there in the app lists. I can't find any way of the previous person disabling it in User Tools, had a glance through SP modes but there are just so many I could spend an hour trying to find where it may be.
Does anyone know if this is something you can disable in SP mode? The machine came from somewhere in Germany I think judging by some of the settings I have seen on it, maybe they had to do it for data protection reasons... so god knows what else I could find changed or disabled as well.

    Try 5885-020 to 1.
It's 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

    Hit it.

Do I set them all to 1?
No I can't see Doc server on WIM either
Plus another I have noticed, I put SD card into op panel so I could upload a background wallpaper from gallery and it does not recognise my SD card. In user tools the usb slots etc are not prohibited so once again I feel like they are being blocked somewhere in SP mode as well. Cannot remember where that one is.

Any address book entries that might reference a personal folder on the Doc Server that may have been wiped by HDD Format?

Could it by chance be referring to the Delivery Server SP 5845?

I'm not sure, I haven't done a HDD format but they may have done before sending it to me.
I've never used 5-845 before so I don't understand any of the settings in there or know what info they are telling me.

SP 5845 is used for scanning to a network server running a document distribution service such as Scan Router. Scan Router was sold by Ricoh for older models that did not support scan to folder. Error message will appear if SP 5845-002 or 008 were set to anything other than 000.000.000.000 and the computer at that address, if any. is not running a compatible service.

SP 5-967 should be set to 1. It's called Copy Server

Make sure you are using the SD Card Format Tool supplied through TSRC site to set up any SD cards you intend to use with Ricoh equipment.

                      X 2 on this!
I hardly ever have a need for Document Server in my environments.
I just had a look on a machine with SOP and added it to my home screen via the Classic applications widget

As for the USB ports......Have you checked that they're enabled in User tools?

Its on the list of apps and it is not on the classic apps either, it only has copy, scanner and printer classics.
SP 5-967-001 is already set to 1
Yes... SD card slot and USB were set to inactive in those screen device settings. Completely forgot those were there, annoying getting used to that layout of user tools/screen features then on brand new machines there is another new layout now.
Still no doc server in it sight though.
Having now set the wallpaper i did notice on screen as i pressed finger down on an empty space, the bin icon appeared in the corner as if I was pressing down on an app ready to drag and drop it to the bin. There are 2 'invisible apps' on the home screen. It is not screen calibration being wrong either.

Have you tried resetting your screen to factory default? (It's the gear icon just right of the "house" icon on the very bottom edge of your touch panel.)

On this model there is no gear icon next to home but the 3 horizontal lines (Guys at Ricoh sometimes call it the burger icon) and by pressing that 1 option comes up to 'Reset home information' ... I kind of knew what it was going to do but pressed it anyway and yep it just reset the screen, so I have to set it back up again but Doc Server is still missing from everywhere.

Sorry to hear that. Unless you can try reverting backwards on firmware version, I can think of nothing else short of parts replacement. Good luck.
