What is the life of the PTR & primary transfer unit?

What does say cyan solid look like?

I'd start by replacing the PTR.

I would try a different Paper Transfer Roller (Transfer/Seperation Roller)

BLACK TRANSFER ROLLER IN ITB UNIT.

Have had this many times on this series and the Cxx02 series, and all the way back to the C4000/C5000 series.

EDIT: I don't think this is a part that is available to order.....we've always had to either swap the ITB unit, or pull the black transfer roller from a unit in a graveyard machine.

Seen that before on ITB. As mentioned it is the black primary charge on itb. Part number is in the partsfinder for the machine. Don't know if proper to list part number on forum, but I did check in partsfinder and it was listed.

I don't see any problem posting a part number.

                This looks like it,

                D1496336
                (x4)

As mentioned the 1st transfer roller in ITB unit is likely causing this. Not sure if possible but if you swap the 1st transfer roller let's say from K with Y the fault should move with the roller and you may get a good print quality (the spots may be less noticeable on Y side) until you got a new ITB unit replaced or a good 1st transfer roller.

You could also try cleaning the roller.

In the ricoh this problem has not happened to me, but in the panasonic and Toshiba yes.the problem was in the spent developer or had soil from the environment.as it was very expensive, it was removed, sneaked in with a half-evening, toner was added on a regular basis, and the problem was solved for a long time.Sometimes it was due to the roller in the development unit, it needed to be cleaned very well.

Since there is no problem listing parts, the current number in parts finder is D0BQ6060. That is D,zero,B,Q,6,zero,6,zero. It probably updates the previous mentioned number. I also thought of switching the yellow with the black as was previously mentioned. Yellow is always nice and solid on these even with crappy drums and developers.
