Hi Guys,
I am a fairly new tech compared to some of the veterans here. In the 10 years that I have been working on Ricoh digital machines, I have never come across something as robust and bulletproof as the SP 5210DN or SF for Black & White. Sometimes controller issues, premature fuser wear, toner spilling can occur however as a whole they have always been reliable.
Ricoh says they replaced the 5210SF with the MP 501. I am scratching my head with these new printer style machines. Quality of materials looks like it has gone completely downhill and the consumables often don't reach yield and it looks like they are more expensive to maintain ever since the separated the toner and the drum assy.
Anyone out here had good experience with the MP 501 / 401SPF? Is there something still bulletproof when it comes to printers or the golden days have gone? Been looking at the P501 and I am not sure if it can perform either.
Thanks in advance.
