Ricoh MPC 3004 with CMYK on top of page

Hi all,

I'm going out to see a Ricoh MPC 3004 which is printing CMYK across the top of the page every now and then. This job is a far drive for me, I was wondering if anyone has come across this problem before? Please see photo attached.

the belt cleaner isn't removing those test marks

be nice to see examples in PDF format yours are a little too small.

Classic issue, you have the MUSIC patterns on the prints.

Update the firmware & clean the patch sensors.

Check the side to side registration of the paper. Replace the ITB cleaning unit.

Usually there's just dust or fluffy stuff collectet in the transfer cleaning unit - cleaning should do the trick or in case it doesn't or the meter redings are very high you might consider to nstall a new one. I'd also put a new itb unit in the car just in case the installed one has a little damage on the surface, too.

The machine already has the latest firmware however I did clean the patch sensor. Thank you for your reply.

Quite common itb cleaning assy it's common if a engineer replaced they forget to take the 2 side securing brackets of the old assy.
