This should be a very simple process.

If you are not updating the firmware to resolve a specific fault I would stop attempting now.
It seems you this maybe beyond your capabilities.

I'm struggling with the virus in the RPCS file; win 10 doesn't want me to download it, even after de-activating the firewalls!
I have opened my old lap top now and win7 doesn't make a point of it.

If I were the OP, I'd start over and follow copier tech's instruction word for word. The man knows firmware and that's a fact.

Well, because i can't upload any pictures (and i believe that is not my fault) i will explain in to you in words:
we log in on our my-ricoh account and in the 'firmware' part we see 'external link' and if we klick on that then 'ricoh mpcxxx firmware deeplink Japan' appears...
Isn't that the case in your account?

If only i could upload pictures - for some reason i can't - because then you would understand what is going on here.
My files seems to go corrupted (only the mpc3003) because in there folders all of a sudden (and automatically) other folders seems to be created.
So going up to >130MB for each firmware item (f.i. browser 135MB).
That's the reason for the errors.
I keep the files on my sd card now and they seem to be fine.
Or, how do you explain a ghost?

My ricoh is out of date now use octopus you will have to re register
