    Ricoh 2051 vs 2060 vs 2075

    Hello everyone

to ask you for your opinion. If you could choose between 2051, 2060 and 2075 what would you choose? They are 100% Identical in parts and boards except the speed, I heard someone think that if it is slower it gets stuck less. What do you think?

All 3 very old models but if I had to choose if would be the C2051 or C2251 if you have a choice. This was a good solid reliable model no real major issues.

As for the 2060/2070 these had a few issues but I didn;t seell many hopefully one of the other members can give you more info.

However what is you budget? the MP C3003 series were a much better model & cost peanuts to purchase now.

no budget problem, i have mp9002 and mp7500 as main machines. One of these 2060 or 2075 I can get very cheap 100 euros. So I do not want to miss the chance to have a third machine as a backup.

The three are basically the same other than pages per minute and as such the target monthly volume. Since you already have a 7500, I would recommend the 2075. I would avoid the 2051. The difference in ppm is not due to a difference in motor speed. It is due to feed timing., i.e. the gap between sheets of paper in a multi copy run. This increases the time the PCU and DVU are spinning with no paper passing through which ultimately increases wear.

Thanks for the information, so far no one has explained to me what the difference is between slower and faster machines of the same generation. So still faster machines are better, Thanks

I was thinking of the C20501, now I understand you're talking about the 2051/2060/2075 mono series.

If your budget is not an issue I would suggest looking into the later Ricoh mono series.

The 2075 was a good machine for its time, but if you're looking for something to be a reliable emergency machine I'd look for something newer. The 20 series machines are well over a decade old and even when new there were always more problems with machines that ran low volume than there were with the boxes that ran well over the recommended volume.

Try using the Ricoh parts catalog. 0093 is the 240v supply for the 2051/2060/2075. The 240, for the 1060/1075 would be 0078 unles you are in China and then it would be 0079.
