    No options in system settings

I spoke to a customer today who needs to change the host name before the device goes into the network, so I was trying to talk him through changing it on the panel, this is a new install, and this is a demo machine, when he goes into system settings, the only tab available is admin tools, and the only option in there is service mode lock.
I did get the host name changed using the WIM, but has anyone got any ideas as to why the tabs are missing

Maybe it has a custom security level set.

I wonder if someone has set separate Machine and Network administrators. I don;t know if I would tell a user how to get into Supervisor in order to check Admin names and access.

My experience in the field had been that the front panel you can see all the tabs with denied options greyed out. From WIM you could only see what you have access to. Things may have changed with the newer model since I retired.

System reset, Factory reset, Initialize all.
Don't know what Ricoh calls reset to factory default but I have had resolved(other brands) some really odd balls this way.

                  Edit:
Of course you don't want to do it on live and working machine especially remote. Just some food for thoughts.

Absolutely. We have something called remote panel. It's literally as you're sitting in front of the machine and touching panel.

It's just so much easier to make those changes via the web interface, I wouldn't do it any other way. Like editing the addressbook: Sure you can use those itty bitty buttons on the panel, or you can use your comfortable, full sized keyboard. Why do it any other way? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
                            1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
                            2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
                            3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
                            4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
                            5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

If this is ex demo they have locked down the machine admin for some stupid reason and made multiple administrators for this particular device.

I would suggest you login as a supervisor, change all passwords and start from scratch by creating 1 administrator that has access to machine, network and user administration
